đ„ Thank You for Making the CMA Annual Warrior Transition Conference a Success! đ„
Last week, we witnessed the power of community in action. Service members, veterans, spouses, dependents, volunteers, and our incredible support organizations came together with one mission: to empower our Nationâs Heroes to transition with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
đ A heartfelt thank you to Randolph Brooks Federal Credit Union (RBFCU) for hosting us at your beautiful headquarters and for your unwavering support of our military community.
We were especially honored to hear from Eric Cooper, CEO of the San Antonio Food Bank, whose words reminded us that service doesnât stop with a uniformâit continues through how we show up for one another. The Food Bank is a lifeline for countless families, including those connected to the military, and their commitment inspires us to keep volunteering and giving back.
This event was proof that when we come togetherâVSOs, employers, educators, and community leadersâwe create pathways for success that go far beyond a single day.
To every participant and volunteer: thank you for investing your time, your expertise, and your heart. You are the reason CMA continues to transform transition.
Together, we will continue to serve. Together, we will continue to lead. đșđž

CMAâs mission to train, prepare, and educate has never been more crucial.
A service member recently recounted their obligatory chat with a counselor who said, âWith a Masterâs degree, youâll be fine.â
Define âfineâ

What about the ability to successfully interview?

Happy New Year⊠Letâs choose to Thrive in 2025!
Transitioning from military to civilian life can be challenging, but we are stronger together and none of us are alone!
Consider the Challenges:
1. Cultural Shift: The corporate world operates differently from the military. The hierarchical structure and discipline are less rigid, and the communication style can vary greatly, the key is communication. Communicate, and be willing to learn, to grow, and to adapt.
2. Translating Skills: Veterans often have valuable skills, but translating military roles into civilian job descriptions can be tough. Employers may not understand military jargonâŠ
3. Finding the Right Job: Identifying a career path that aligns with military experience and personal interests can be dauntingâŠ
4. Networking: Veterans may lack professional networks in the civilian job market, which are crucial for job searchingâŠ
5. Adjusting to Civilian Life: The pace and operational style of civilian life can be quite different, requiring adaptationâŠ
Tips for a Smoother Transition:
1. Donât do it ALONE!
2. Education and Training: Consider additional training or education to bridge any skill gaps or to pursue a new career that align with job opportunities.
3. Networking: Attend job fairs, join professional organizations, and use platforms like LinkedIn to connect with professionals in your desired field.
4. Visit Transition Assistance Programs (TAP): These programs provide career counseling, workshops, and resources specifically designed for veterans transitioning to civilian life⊠but you have to know yourself to get the real value! Who are you?
5. Leverage Military Benefits: Use the GI Bill for educational purposes, and look into any other available veteran benefits.
6. Interview Preparation: Practice interviews with a focus on civilian roles. Be ready to explain how your military experience is relevant to the job you're applying for.
7. Seek Support Groups: Joining veteran support groups or forums can provide community support and further resources during the transition.
8. Stay Positive and Flexible: It's crucial to remain optimistic and open to different opportunities. Transitioning can take time, and being adaptable is key to finding success in the civilian world.
Successful transitions often require a combination of self-reflection, preparation, and utilization of available resources. Each journey is unique, and seeking guidance from those who have successfully transitioned can be incredibly beneficial.
Donât do it alone and consider attending a 2025 CMA Warrior Transition Workshop and also join the Operation Military Family deep dive⊠together we are stronger!

We have heard it said before âstatistics and numbers donât mean anything to the one that we didnât help...â. With this in mind Centurion Military Alliance (CMA) is beyond thankful for the love and support we have been able to provide! We are grateful to have been able to be a part of a community of Servant Leaders who stand together as a United Front, resolute in saying âno matter what comes our way, you will not break this bondâ ~ Dr. ChauntĂ© Hall
âIt Never Gets Old...
As an eye tears up and the hint of a smile appears
It never gets old to lift up a spouse and for a moment allay their fears
As a small soft voice in a lighthearted way expresses innocent joy
When a child embraces with guiltless love a new found friend or toy
As time abates in its ebb and flow as it has for me and you
Use it wisely - rekindle a friendship that both know is long over due
Strive to hold dear those things that matter so when all is said and done
We all played a part in this effort of ours, and for that we all are oneâ ~ Dr. Steven L. Hall
Thank you to all of our 2024 Sponsors, Supporters, Community Partners, Volunteers, and most of all to our CMA Participants!

Is our perception of ourselves aligned with the reality of society?
To effectively navigate our transitions, set our paths, and commit to achieving our goals, it's essential to continually self-assess and maintain awareness.
This involves gathering accurate information and acting accordingly.
Looking forward to this Thursdayâs Centurion Military Alliance (CMA) Warrior Transition Workshop at Fort Cavazos!

âïž Itâs the Holiday Season and the greatest gift one can give is their TIMEâŠ
Empowering others is intentional.
It says that those who Empower others are engaged and strategic - with an end-state goal in mind - a vision for the future and a path to get there.
It says that those who are empowered have a guide, a mentor, a teacher - someone who is willing to invest their most precious resource - their time and energy.
There can be no greater show of humanity than to say to someone in an unselfish way - âYouâre worth the investmentâ
Thank you Joe Gainey, the first Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (SEAC) for continuing to support our Military Families!

In the Military we are 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year...
We understand the Oath we took to support and defend the Constitution of the United States and for most of us, this Oath doesnât come with an expiration date.
Our Military Families understand the sacrifice and choose to make it with Us, and for Our Country!
CMA understands this sacrifice, and We remain here for our Military Family 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year...
CMA is committed to those who wish to continue to serve after the wear of the Military Uniform...
Consider joining CMA in our last Warrior Transition Workshop of 2023 at Fort Cavazos on December 7th
