Our 2018 reunion will be held in Herndon, VA from Sept 5th – 9th. There are three good reasons for holding the reunion here:
1) So that our Skipper Ben Fowke and his wife can attend. In his 90s now traveling long distances has become more of a challenge.
2) To honor our Foo Dogs that served during Vietnam. One of our events will be a trip to the wall.
3) There is more to do in this area than virtually anywhere else in the U.S. and public transportation is relatively easy.

We have chosen the Westin Washington Dulles Hotel as our headquarters. The decision was based on the following reasons:
1) Cheapest rates for a quality hotel - $84 per night plus 12% tax. Rate does not include breakfast but discounted breakfast coupons will be handed out at check in.
2) Hotel provides the following amenities – shuttle to and from Dulles airport; free parking; able to bring own food and beverage into the Hospitality suite; free wifi; shuttle to the Reston Silver line Metro Station; shuttle to the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, (Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum's annex at Washington Dulles Airport); and a shuttle to the Reston town center https://www.restontowncenter.com/
3) Reasonable banquet rates should allow us to keep registration fees down.

We will be planning a couple of events, one of them will definitely be the Vietnam Memorial Wall. Planned events will be minimized to allow attendees to decide what you would like to do. I would plan on a couple extra days in the area if you can.

To insure you get a room at the rates above I would recommend booking early. We have a very limited number of rooms on Wednesday (10) and Sunday (8) and 60 rooms for Thursday – Saturday. If you want to come early or stay late and the rooms are all gone let me know and I will TRY and get more added.
