We are so grateful for our amazing PTA and all they do to make Wilderness Oak such a special place for our Wolves!
Thank you to our board members, volunteers, and families for your support throughout the year.
We’re always looking for new members and leaders to join the pack and help make next year even better!

The 2025-2026 school year has come to an end, and we're thankful for our PTA Board members that work tirelessly, behind-the-scenes, and at each event making sure our Wolves have the best school year possible. They are the reason we’re able to have Spirit Cart Fridays, festival, Glow Party, fun runs, field day, bike rodeo, library visits, fun programs, stage decorations for all your kids' programs, and so much more!

We'd love to have you join us next year, so we can continue to offer these fun things in the Wilderness! We can’t do it without YOU! 💙🐺

We appreciate everyone who helped make our garden look so beautiful and those who donated mulch—your support means so much! 💙 A special thank you to Mrs. Horan, Mrs. Pippert, Mrs. Rossmeier, and Mrs. Wiley for all of their hard work in bringing our garden to life! 💙 We may need a little more mulch at the start of the school year and will keep you posted. Thank you for your generosity and Wolf pride!

Our 2nd grade Wolves had a blast at their Teddy Bear Factory! Students worked together on an assembly line to create their bears while learning about teamwork, money, and how products are made. So much fun and learning all in one!

Our 3rd grade students brought history to life during their “American Leader Wax Museum”! Each student researched an influential figure and did an outstanding job sharing their learning by stepping into character for our families and guests.

We are so proud of the hard work, creativity, and confidence our 3rd graders showed throughout this special event. Thank you to our teachers and families for supporting this memorable celebration of learning!

This morning, we had the pleasure of welcoming back our Class of 2026 for their Senior Walk—returning to the place where their journey first began.

Breakfast was filled with conversation, laughter, and proud families, our seniors had the opportunity to reconnect and reflect on their elementary years. They then took one final walk through our hallways, warmly cheered on by students and staff, before gathering in the cafeteria for a commemorative group photo.

Congratulations, Seniors! We are incredibly proud of the young leaders you have become and look forward to all that the future holds for you.

What a wonderful afternoon at our League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Mother-Son Luncheon! Our young men truly shined—greeting their moms and guests on the red carpet, setting the tables, serving lunch with care, and closing the event with a heartfelt mother-son dance. Their kindness, respect, and love made the afternoon truly memorable for everyone who attended.

During a Special Board Meeting on Monday, May 18, the North East ISD Board of Trustees named Interim Superintendent Anthony Jarrett as the Lone Finalist for Superintendent.

“He has maintained a strong commitment to student success, academic excellence and community partnerships,” said Board President David Beyer. “We are confident that his leadership, experience, and vision will help guide our District forward, toward continued growth and opportunity for all staff students and families.”

Jarrett brings more than 25 years of experience in public education including six years with NEISD. He previously served as the District’s Chief Instructional Officer before being named Interim Superintendent in December of last year. Prior to joining North East ISD in 2019, Jarrett served as a teacher, principal and assistant superintendent in Northside ISD.

Following the announcement, Jarrett shared his gratitude to the board and enthusiasm for this next chapter.

“Sitting in this role is a humbling experience,” said Jarrett. “The mindset of service first and self second is something that I fundamentally believe in. I think working alongside you guys, I know our District will continue to grow, get better and be one of the best districts in the country.”

Per state mandate, NEISD trustees must wait at least 21 days before officially voting to appoint Jarrett as our District’s newest Superintendent.

"Reading is the key that unlocks endless possibilities."
Our 1st graders hosted a Reading Restaurant today! Classrooms turned into restaurants, students dressed the part, and “served” their families by reading from a menu of books. So proud of our young readers.
