Our Pre-K students took a trip to Pearsall Park to celebrate the end of a fantastic school year! There’s no better way to wrap up all our hard work than with some sunshine, water play, and big smiles.

We are so proud of how much our littlest learners have grown this year! A huge THANK YOU to all our amazing chaperones who helped us keep cool, stay safe, and have the best time. We couldn't have pulled off this perfect end-of-year celebration without your help!

A special thank you to Coach Munoz for her dedication and hard work in planning this year’s Field Day. It was a joy to see our students outside, active, and cheering each other on.

We are so grateful for the parents and community members who volunteered their time to help run the stations. Your commitment to our students makes events like this possible, and we are so lucky to have such a supportive community!

Our Kindergarteners wrapped up their final Project-Based Learning (PBL) unit with a buzz-worthy exhibition! Their driving question: How are bee and ant colonies like human communities?

The students did an amazing job sharing their expert knowledge on bees and ants, but the real highlight was their "Kinder Ambassadors" program. Our Kinder students gave the Pre-K classes a special tour of the Kinder classrooms, sharing all their secrets about what it’s really like to be a big kid in Kindergarten.

We are so proud of how they’ve grown—not just in their science knowledge, but in how they lead and care for our school community.

We are so grateful to all the families who joined us for our Student-Led Conferences last week. Seeing our students take the lead in sharing their work, reflecting on their growth, and setting goals for the future was truly inspiring.

There is something so special about watching a child take ownership of their learning journey. Thank you for your continued partnership and for showing up to celebrate your child’s hard work. It means the world to them (and to us)!

The final ALA Advisory Board Meeting of the year looked a little different, and it was absolutely incredible! Our amazing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-grade students took over the meeting to host a mini-PBL Exhibition and our board members got a front-row seat to authentic student learning right here at ALA Primary!

The students blew everyone away as they:
Presented their Project-Based Learning (PBL) projects with total confidence.
Walked board members through the PBL process, explaining how they took a driving question, researched it, and built their final project.
Answered tough questions like absolute pros, showing off their critical thinking and public speaking skills.

Seeing some of our youngest learners articulate their education so passionately is exactly what the ALA mission is all about. A huge thank you to our Advisory Board members for listening, engaging, and being inspired by our students today!

A Full-Circle Moment at ALA!

The tissue boxes were definitely out today! History was made as our very first group of ALA 3rd graders took their official Elephant Walk through the halls of ALA Primary.

These students brought big smiles, a few tears, and so much pride to everyone watching.
Two incredibly special things happened along the way:
Our founding teachers reconnected with their former students, marveling at how much they’ve grown (and yes, comparing heights!).
Pen Pals in Person: Our Senior Pen Pals finally got to meet their K-3 Pen Pal classes in person! The joy in those classrooms was absolutely unmatched.

To our graduating 3rd graders: You will always be the pioneers of ALA Primary. Keep shining as you take this next big step!
