Just as homeowners face expiring warranties and necessary updates to their properties, school districts must do the same for their campuses and infrastructure.
North East ISD’s bond will NOT result in a tax rate increase.
A state law requires all school bond ballots to include the statement “THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE” — even when the election will not raise the tax rate.

We’ve heard your questions — and we’ve got answers.
The NEISD 2025 Bond focuses on needs, not wants.
🍎 No tax rate increase. By law, the ballot must say “THIS IS A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE,” but NEISD has structured this bond so the tax rate will not go up. Seniors 65+ already have their school taxes frozen.
🍎 Every campus benefits. From safer entrances to updated HVAC and plumbing, every school will see improvements.
🍎 Smart financial management. NEISD has earned the state’s top financial rating for 22 years, finishing the last bond on time and on budget.
🍎 It’s been 10 years. Aging buildings and systems can’t wait. The longer we delay, the more expensive repairs become.
This bond is about keeping students safe, classrooms functional, and schools strong — with no tax rate increase. Vote early now through Oct 31!

The rate covers:
