ConTex is a joint initiative of The University of Texas System and Mexico’s Conacyt.

Established in 2016, ConTex will support bilateral efforts to enhance academic and research cooperation between Texas and Mexico. Funding is offered for doctoral students, postdoctoral and faculty fellows, non-degree student training, and bi-national collaborative research projects.

Last week doctoral fellows Brenda Rivera López, Cecilia Alducin-Martínez, Gabriela Azcarate, Karla Mariana Escobar, and Maria Elena Vargas Magaña showcased their research at the 2026 Graduate Student Appreciation Week (GSAW) and the College of Sciences Research Symposium at the University of Texas at San Antonio. We are proud to highlight their achievement!
