Yesterday was the last day of Early Voting...woo hoo! Thanks to all supporters who worked the polls and those who came out to vote in record numbers ...great sign that change is on the way! Election Day polls are Rogers MS, Schenck ES, and Sinclair ES. Let's get out the vote and win this! It's a great time to be on Team Lopez.

Week 2 of Early Voting has begun. A big thank you to "the starting lineup" who worked the polls last week - Lorna Klokkenga, Chris Castro, Mara Bernal, Denise Siller, Daria, and my sister in law Trish! This week we are checking our lists to make sure that all Lopez supporters GOTV. Encourage all ECISD District 6 residents to make sure and vote this week. If you know anyone who needs a ride, let me know. We have plenty of transportation assistance.

What an AMAZING way to launch Early Voting! Team Lopez had the BEST BLOCK WALK BLITZ ever! Thanks to the energy and enthusiasm of 25 special supporters, we touched every corner of voting district, and are sending scores of informed voters who are ready for a new voice for educational excellence in District 6! Thanks to all block walkers...grass roots efforts like these are SO MUCH FUN!

Early Voting is 4 days away! Our big Blockwalk BLITZ is this weekend. Our teams are getting their clip boards and walking shoes ready...When we are done, we will have reached 3000 voters before Monday! More team members welcomed...come join us and be part of the change in District 6.

Team Lopez "rocked" National Night Out this week! It was awesome to see Lopez balloons and water bottles circulating the Monte Viejo subdivision park. I can't believe how many of my former students of live in District 6. I am SO PROUD of what they have accomplished and for staying remaining on the Southeast Side of SA as positive role models and strong community members. Thanks to all supporters who helped that night: Pat Tovar, Erika Canseco, Denise Cardenas, Jessica Zapata, Jennifer Moreno, and Bobby Berlanga. Balloons and water bottles were the brainchild of my former student Felix Gonzales at First Gear Printing...he's the man!
50 more signs are going up this week...23 Day until Early Voting and 33 Days until Election Day! We are getting ready for the Block Walk Blitz and supporter appreciation BBQ on October 23rd. Come out and help ROCK the BLOCK.

TGIF Team Lopez! I want to remind everybody about tomorrow's Community BBQ Plate Sale to support "Elect Mona Lopez for ECISD School Board Trustee District 6." In case you didn't get to purchase a ticket there are still some plates available to purchase on site tomorrow.

BBQ Chicken and Sausage plates
Location: 2839 S. W. W. White Road ( just past Southcross)
Time: 11 AM - 3 PM
Plenty of music and drinks so you can eat on site or take it home.

What an awesome and productive day! Thanks to my sister, brother, sister in law, and amazing son, we got the last of the large signs up, block walked and sold tickets to next week's Community BBQ. If you want tickets, please let me know. We are only selling 250 plates, and they are going fast. In case you've never tried Marc's BBQ, it's like NO OTHER. Best part of my day was taking pics of precinct 4023 and 4200 neighbors sporting campaign shirts with PRIDE. Conversations with these folks have been eye opening and inspiring as I let them know that WE CAN DO BETTER and WE WILL DO BETTER. Go Team Lopez!

Happy Saturday Team Lopez! We had a great time at the ECHS Varsity football game last night. Block walking on Saturday instead of Sunday due to a change in Jr. Hornets schedule this weekend. Looking forward to connecting with our neighbors and hanging more signs from 1-4 PM.
Tickets are ready for our Community BBQ happening NEXT Saturday on the lot at Marc's shop, AGL Services, 2839 S. W. W. White. Great food, great music, and great neighbors! Let me know how many you want and I will get them to you during the week.

What an AWESOME kickoff we had last night at Big Lou's Pizza! Thanks to all Team Lopez supporters who came out to help us raise $1770.00. Your generosity and enthusiasm mean a great deal to me and inspire me to press on in getting the word out to all District 6 neighbors that we have the potential to DO BETTER in ECISD. We will continue to hang signs and block walk this week. Don't forget to wear your Campaign shirts if your headed out to the ECHS football game this Friday! Mark your calendars for our next big event: Community BBQ plate sale on September 17th. Lets win this!

Now that Labor Day is behind us, the campaign is kicking into high gear with our Campaign Kickoff event this evening at Big Lou's from 5:30-7:30. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
