High school campuses will have early release on Wednesday, and all NEISD campuses will have early release on Thursday and Friday. Friday marks the last day of school for students. **This does not include ACE.**

😀What an Amazing Year in the Library! 🎉📖

This is what mentorship is all about! 🏗️➡️✨ A former student who went through our Pape-Dawson Engineers mentorship program kept in touch with his teacher, Mrs. Adame, and volunteered at our JK Extravaganza night.

Read on to learn his story: “I am extremely thankful and blessed to have had the opportunity to participate in the Pape-Dawson Mentorship Program as a mentee from 2012–2014 while in 4th and 5th grade. The program allows engineers to mentor students and inspire them to think big about their futures.
Growing up, I wanted to be a mechanic like my dad, but when I was introduced to my mentor, Ben Setterbo, my eyes were opened to the world of civil engineering. I have always been interested in how the world works, and throughout my time in school, I realized that civil engineering was the career I wanted to pursue.
Over the years, I stayed in contact with Ben, and we developed a long-lasting friendship. After high school, I had the opportunity to work at Pape-Dawson as a survey intern and later continued as an engineering intern from 2021–2025. After graduating from college, I was offered a full-time position as a Civil Engineer with my mentor’s company, Setterbo Engineers.
I am extremely grateful for the mentorship, guidance, and opportunities I have received throughout the years, and I look forward to continuing my career in civil engineering while inspiring future generations the same way I was inspired.”

Huge shoutout and an even bigger THANK YOU to the incredible team at Pape-Dawson Engineers! 📐✨ Another fantastic year of mentorship is in the books, and our mentees are still buzzing from their visit. Getting to see the firm in action and spend quality time with such talented professionals is always a highlight. We might just have a few future engineers on our hands now! 🛠️💼

🛠️ Thinkers, Makers, & Problem Solvers! 🧠✨ Our students had a blast in the library Makerspace this week. It is absolutely amazing to see what they can build when they put their minds to it. Watching those problem-solving gears turn is the absolute best part of the job! ⚙️💡

Science + Tech + Engineering + Art + Math = The ultimate playtime! 🚀🎨 Our 5th-grade parents joined their kids for an amazing STEAM-A-Palooza, learning how to turn big concepts into big fun at home. We love seeing our school community create and learn together! 🧠✨
