🌎 SBCUSD IS GETTING READY TO SHAKE OUT! 🌎

Earthquakes can happen without warning. That’s why being prepared matters.

Join The Great ShakeOut and practice the simple steps that can help protect you during an earthquake:

⬇️ DROP to the ground
🛡️ COVER your head and neck under a sturdy desk or table
✋ HOLD ON until the shaking stops

Practice at school, at home, and wherever you spend your time. The more prepared we are, the better we can respond when an earthquake happens.

🌡️ EXTREME HEAT IS A STUDENT SAFETY ISSUE.

When temperatures rise, protecting students and youth athletes requires more than watching the thermometer. HeatRisk considers how unusual the heat is, how long it lasts, nighttime temperatures, and health impacts—not temperature alone. (National Weather Service (https://www.weather.gov/safety/heat-tools?

🚨 RAPTOR TIPS & TRICKS — LET’S MAKE IT EASIER! 🦖

School staff use Raptor every day, but are you getting the most out of it? 👀

A few simple tips can make a BIG difference:

✅ Keep your information current — outdated information can create unnecessary headaches.

📱 Know your equipment — make sure your Raptor tablet, scanner, printer, and charger are ready to go BEFORE you need them.

👀 Be consistent — use Raptor the same way, every time. Even when you recognize someone!

🔔 Know your alerts — make sure your front office team understands what different alerts mean and what to do next.

👥 Train your backup — don’t let Raptor knowledge live with just one person in the office.

🧪 Practice! — a quick refresher now can save a lot of confusion later.

💡 And here’s the big one: If something isn’t working the way you think it should, ASK! We’re here to help.

This is about making Raptor easier, faster, and more useful for your school—not adding another thing to your plate.
