⚓️ HAPPY 251st BIRTHDAY, UNITED STATES NAVY! 🇺🇸

Sailors assigned to the Naval Expeditionary Medicine Warfighter Development Center (NEMWDC) gathered to celebrate 251 years of honor, courage, commitment, and unwavering service to our nation.

The celebration honored the rich heritage and enduring traditions of the U.S Navy while recognizing the Sailors who continue to uphold our mission and strengthen our warfighting readiness.

In keeping with Navy tradition, the oldest Sailor, Hospital Corpsman Senior Chief Eulogio Gutierrez, and the youngest Sailor, Logistics Specialist Kekoa Akina, joined together to cut the Navy birthday cake, a symbolic passing of knowledge, experience, and tradition from one generation of Sailors to the next.

During the celebration, Capt. George Brand, commanding officer for NEMWDC, shared remarks recognizing the significance of the Navy’s legacy, the dedication of our Sailors, and the continued commitment to maintaining a ready and capable force.

As we celebrate 251 years of naval service, NEMWDC remains committed to developing expeditionary medical warfighters who are ready to answer the call, deliver lifesaving care, and support the Fleet and Marine Corps wherever the mission takes them.
