Mount Kenya is the second highest mountain in all of Africa, and although unknown to a majority of the world, that doesn’t stop Mount Kenya Trust from taking initiative and protecting this monument of beauty.
Protecting over 270,000 hectares of forest, water towers, and wildlife, Mount Kenya Trust is also undergoing a major corridor project that will undoubtedly help thousands of creatures in the region, spanning 14 kilometers, reconnect the mountain’s high altitude forest ecosystem with the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, Ngare Ndare Forest, Borana Ranch, and the Samburu/Isiolo landscapes to the north (with those regions alone accounting for 7,500+ elephants!)
A truly astounding cause needs all the help it can get! Which is why the Elephant Cooperation is ready to put its hand in the center and support this project in more ways than one! 🐘 🗻 💚
