Juneteenth is a celebration of freedom, resilience and the promise of progress.

A commemoration of the day freedom finally reached the last enslaved Black Americans in 1865, Juneteenth continues to serve as a reminder that freedom is not just a moment in history, but a responsibility to build communities where everyone has an opportunity to thrive.

The Juneteenth flag reflects that spirit:
    • Red, white and blue symbolize that Black history is American history.
    • The star and burst represent freedom and a new beginning.
    • The arc signifies hope and a brighter future ahead. 

Today, we celebrate the enduring contributions of Black Americans and reflect on the values of freedom, opportunity and community. 

At Logan Heights CDC, we remain committed to creating pathways to opportunity through education, economic empowerment and community development.

Our office will be closed on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.

This past Friday, we wrapped up an incredible day on the course!
