NBC Beach Cleanups

EV will host an outreach event at Remote Training Site Warner Springs Saturday, January 31 from 1000-1400. All are welcome (no CAC required) to learn about endangered butterfly ecology and help enhance butterfly habitat by planting wildflowers. Participants should bring food and water as the site is remote. It is recommended that participants also wear a hat, sunscreen and outdoor hiking clothes and shoes. Folding chairs and gardening tools are optional. Contact Alex Whalen @ 619-545-5561 or [email protected] with questions.

EV will host two cleanups Friday, February 27 at Breakers Beach (parking at Heritage Park/NASNI – CAC required to enter NASNI) and Saturday, February 28 at the Delta Beaches (parking near Fiddler’s Cove Marina along HWY 75 – no CAC required, public welcome) at 0900-1100 both days. Participants are encouraged to wear a hat and closed-toed shoes and to bring sunscreen and a water bottle. Certificates of participation will be available.
