He first enlisted in the Navy as a Fire Control Technician in 2019 and served onboard the Los Angeles Class Submarine USS Springfield (SSN 761) stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Following a successful deployment in the Seventh Fleet AOR, he applied and was accepted to Officer Candidate School and commissioned in June 2022. After he commissioned, he served his first division officer tour as the Main Propulsion Officer and First Lieutenant onboard USS Paul Ignatius (DDG 117) in Rota, Spain.

Q: Is there anything you’re excited about as you come into this command?

A: What excites me about coming to CPR-5 is learning all about the amphibious community and developing professionally while being a part of a planning staff

Q: What part of your job do you really enjoy—even on the tough days?

A: I think the work we do can be challenging at times but seeing the finished product or watching the process come to a successful conclusion makes it worth it especially if I learned a better more efficient way to complete it in the future

This Friday, our command came together for a much needed break and some serious summer fun! The 2025 Summer Bash was filled with food, games, music, and laughter as Sailors and their families enjoyed time to relax, recharge, and build community outside the uniform.

Events like these remind us that morale and connection are mission-critical and there’s no better way to strengthen our team than with good vibes and great company.
