We are the only museum dedicated to Marine Corps Aviation. We are a staff of four that work in the hangar. I'm sure most of you have visited the main museum, but didn't realize most of the display and aircraft restorations are done in another building. Flying Leatherneck Aviation Museum tentatively plans to move to El Toro Earlier this year, the Flying Leatherneck Museum at MCAS Miramar closed its doors, despite a battle to keep it open. Fortunately, there is a tentative plan for the museum to be moved to its original location at El Toro, now Great Park, in Irvine.
