Congress is currently debating a multi-trillion-dollar tax package while simultaneously working on the FY 2026 federal budget, which will include over $1.5 trillion in additional discretionary spending. LISC’s Section 4 Funding Reinstated: A Critical Win for Communities | Local Initiatives Support Corporation We’re excited to share that the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has reinstated LISC’s Section 4 Capacity Building for Community Development and Affordable Housing Program funding following a successful appeal.

We had the opportunity to attend this year's LISC AmeriCorps conference, in which we celebrated 30 years of programming with colleagues, amazing speakers, and of course, AmeriCorps Members! Everyone at the conference had an opportunity to connect, learn, and participate in a service project. We were thankful for this time together as we enter the 30th year of our members being of service to our communities!

The application for the next round of the NFL Foundation Grassroots Program is now open! LISC and the NFL Foundation are offering grants up to $250,000 to create or rehabilitate football fields for youth and families in communities across the country.
