Hey crew, checking in to see how everyone is doing. Haven't had the heart to post since Miss jennies passing. It's been a lot to process and take in. Shack life will continue. The shack is really a state of being and a vibe. It transcends a building or a place- it's truly a way of being in the world. Jennie was all about the aloha spirit and that will live on in all of us. I'll get back to blogging soon and sharing our sunsets and shenanigans. Miss Jennie would want that. We'll see you out there! 🏝️🏄🏼‍♂️

Shack crew, its with heavy hearts that we share that our beloved miss jennie passed away yesterday. She orchestrated a beautiful crossing with her shack fam and LA family with her til the end. Jennie was the matriarch of the shack. The most gracious host, so generous in heart and spirit. We are all devastated but so happy she is finally with her Tom.

It's Friday friends! We've had a fun week of festive surf, a bit of heat and some special visits from stumpie and her 5 kits. So great to see her alive and well! Crew was out all shifts. Good vibes in the afternoon. Eddie got back from Italy and we had a fun sesh this evening with paz and Noah. Havmat were in mex this week and scored on this swell, shredding the point and out front.
Big love to rachelle who lost her dad this week. So happy she got to spend some quality time with him before he passed. Most of the crew will be around this weekend. Mikey and Seth will be in residence looking after miss jennie and catching some waves with the crew. Grab your wavecraft of choice and we'll see you out there!

Happy August kids! I know. I have no idea where the summer has gone! We've had a lovely week of nice weather, beautiful Cresent moons and very minimal surf. Water temp is nice so most of the crew have been jumping in for swims, paddles or catching little peelers. The weekend should hold more of the same. Most of the crew will be around. Rachelle heading back to Ohio tonight to spend precious time with her dad. Her and brad have an anniversary today and brad has a bday tomorrow. Party weekend! By party, I mean brad will be partying with the critters at wildlife rescue.🦝🐿🦊.

Happy monday friends! We had a lovely weekend of very minimal surf but amazing weather and cloud love. Most of the crew got up to other things..comic con, wave pools, warp tour, river running, race track and looking for stumpie. That was brad. He was stoked to see visual evidence from the college security that stumpie and her groms are posted up outside the women's study building. Stumpie is a legend! We've got a bit of surf on the horizon. I jumped in over the weekend just to swim and look at the clouds. Highly recommend. Let's have a grateful week and we'll see you out there!

Happy friday friends! Wow, what a week. It was all about the sky love this week. Truly, every day was beautiful. Not big, epic sunsets, but subtle shades of blues and gray. Surf was also fun! Boil has been happening-even after work with high tides. Last night was super fun. Some real pow pows on the corner. Great vibe in the water with paz and some stoked groms. Jilly and lena have been holding down the late morning shift...and there was a long hair Aaron siting! Most of the crew will be around this weekend. Water is trunkable and waves are on tap, so we'll see you out there!

Happy monday cliffs crew! Well, we didn't have a lot of surf this weekend but the crew got out amongst it. There were bike rides, hikes and mikey and Seth got some serious chores done for miss jennie! Most everyone passed on Saturday due to lack of surf and wind. Sunday was small, but glassy. Best call was early and down south. Lena jumped in out front with several humans. She still caught a few. Today after work was actually fun. More in the water and way less humans. Also, the sky was awesome, with blues and grays...cool lighting. Surf should stay doable and the water temp has inched up. Let's have a grateful week and we'll see you out there!
