⚾🌟 Big league memories for some very deserving military kids!

What an incredible day at the San Diego Padres Lil’ MVPs Camp! Our Armed Services YMCA San Diego team had the opportunity to join 50 military-connected kids for a day filled with baseball, confidence-building, teamwork, and plenty of smiles.

From learning baseball skills and stepping onto the field to connecting with trainers, these young MVPs got an experience they won’t soon forget. ⚾🙌

Experiences like this are about so much more than the game. They give military kids a chance to have fun, try something new, build confidence, and create memories with other children who understand the military lifestyle.

A HUGE thank you to USAA for helping make this incredible opportunity possible, and to the for welcoming our military kids and giving them a day to remember! 💙

Have an active-duty parent who is currently deployed or preparing to deploy? 💙

Through Operation Kid Comfort, we can create a special handmade quilt for your little one to hold close while their parent is away.

Made with meaningful family photos, each quilt offers a familiar reminder of home and brings warmth, comfort, and connection during deployment. ❤️🇺🇸

How It Works:
🧵 Eligibility: Children must be 12 or younger and have not received a quilt from any Armed Services YMCA branch before.
🧵 Timing: Requests can be submitted up to 8 weeks before or 8 weks after deployment. Processing takes approximately 12+ weeks.
🧵 Cost: A small $15 flat shipping fee per child ensures delivery of this priceless gift.
Military families give so much; let us give back by creating lasting memories for your little ones during deployment.
