Team Warhorse recently completed a ten day Unit Training Detachment at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO. The goal of the UTD was to exercise a long range movement and execute flight operations at elevations exceeding 6000’ MSL. During the detachment the squadron conducted an external lift of a 17,400lb JLTV in support of the United States Army 10th SFG, while advancing flight leadership and crew chief qualifications. Most impressively the maintenance department proved to be the squadron center of gravity by flawlessly replacing an engine, changing out three rotor blades and maximizing squadron readiness while operating 860nm from Miramar. A huge thank you to and for providing MARLOG support to keep the Warhorse flying!
