Think Globally, Act Locally! Peace is more than the absence of war... Working together to create real peace for all is the most important goal for humanity.

Violence, injustice and environmental degradation are plagues that undermine the quality of life of the world's inhabitants every day and threaten humankind and the planet with ultimate extinction. Working for peace is a way of life that recognizes the value and sanctity of all life and actively seeks ways for us to live in balance and harmony with each other and the planet.

Did you know deportation flights are taking off from our own San Diego airport? Corporations are getting paid while our neighbors lose everything.

Every Thursday we show up. This Thursday, sponsored by Democratic Club of Carlsbad Oceanside - Demcco , Indivisible49 , and OHCC Democracy Defenders, we shine a light on what is happening in our backyard and march toward May Day together. Silence is not an option. Workers over billionaires.

IT IS NOW 85 SECONDS TO MIDNIGHT!

ā€œOur current trajectory is unsustainable,ā€ writes the Bulletin’s Science and Security Board in the 2026 Doomsday Clock statement.

ā€œNational leaders–particularly those in the United States, Russia, and China–must take the lead in finding a path away from the brink. Citizens must insist they do so. It is 85 seconds to midnight.ā€

Bulletin President and CEO Alexandra Bell echoed the Board’s perspective when commenting on the 2026 Clock time, noting that—around the world—citizens of the world must demand action from their leaders.

ā€œA world splintering into ā€˜us versus them’ will leave all of humanity more vulnerable,ā€ said Bulletin Science and Security Board Chair Daniel Holz.

YEAR IN REVIEW
A RUTHLESS PATH OF VIOLENCE
IN IMMIGRATION MATTERS

The Department of Homeland Security has dramatically scaled up
its immigration enforcement operations, where federal agencies,
led by ICE and Border Patrol, have kidnapped members of our
communities and trampled on constitutional protections, making
this a tumultuous year for targeted communities and unsafe for
everyone. Join us for a conversation with local organizers to discuss
the political terrain on immigration enforcement matters and how
we all can contribute to building greater resistance and solidarity.
