This month is an opportunity to celebrate people with Down syndrome while raising awareness and continuing to advocate for greater acceptance, inclusion, and understanding.

While misconceptions and stereotypes about Down syndrome still exist, a diagnosis is only one part of a person’s identity. Every individual has their own strengths, talents, interests, goals, and contributions to share with their community.

Throughout Down Syndrome Awareness Month and beyond, let’s continue creating communities where people with Down syndrome are valued, respected, included, and empowered to thrive.
