Life's a beach at tonight’s final Kid’s Night Out of the school year! 🌊🐠

Participants are having a gill-orious time creating beachy crafts, making sand slime castles, getting their faces painted, surfing through summer games, and more!

Need to make a day of it? Take advantage of our Summer Camp Lunch Hour! Participants who register for a morning half-day camp and an afternoon half-day camp during the same week in the same location can register for this special program. There’s still time to register! School is almost out and the city is kicking off summer fun with a pool party at the Swim Center this Friday, June 5!😎

Join us for a day of music, games, and swimming at the Poway Community Swim Center. Activities include open access to our in-water inflatable obstacle course, organized games and races throughout the event, crafts, land inflatables, and a big splash competition off the diving boards.

This event is for 6- to 12-year-olds and registration covers admission for the day and a pizza lunch.

Poway’s annual “Shred Event” is Saturday, June 20. Poway residents can stop by the Free Paper Shredding, E-Waste, & Mulch Giveaway Event at the Hazardous Household Waste Collection Facility between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.

Shredding: Limit two (2) bankers boxes (10” x 12” x 15”) per household.

E-Waste: Acceptable items include computers, monitors, central processing units (CPUs), laptops, computer components, printers, scanners, fax machines, VCRs, radios, cell phones.

Free Mulch: Available for Poway residents (while supplies last)! This is a self-serve, self-loading, and self-haul service, so please bring your own cans/bags, gloves and shovel. Limit of 3 cans/bags per vehicle. If you plan to haul your mulch in an open truck or trailer, please remember to bring a tarp to cover your material.

This Saturday, June 6, marks the return of the Annual Sam Hinton Folk Festival at Old Poway Park. Hosted by the San Diego Folk Heritage, this FREE outdoor event features musical performances, musical workshops, group jams and an open mic stage. A great variety of folk music will be offered from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

🚂 Railroad schedule update for this weekend!

The Poway Midland Railroad will NOT be operating this weekend, Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31 due to repairs.

Train operations are expected to resume Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7.
