🎉 Meet Deputy Probation Officer Lazaga! 🌟 Born in Manila, Philippines, and raised in sunny San Diego, Officer Lazaga knows a thing or two about resilience. She grew up with her amazing mother who raised twin daughters while learning a new language. Her mom's dedication and love were the driving forces in their lives, teaching her valuable lessons about hard work, overcoming challenges, and the importance of family, respect, and pride in their Filipino heritage. These strong values have made Officer Lazaga the incredible person she is today, both as an individual and as a dedicated officer! 🙌✨

In honor of Memorial Day, the County of San Diego Probation Department business offices are closed Monday, May 25, 2026. However, our Youth Transition Campus and East Mesa Juvenile Detention Facility are open for visiting.

⚽️ What an incredible way to wrap up our last soccer clinic of the school year at Central Elementary School! Our 30 amazing 1st grade students had an unforgettable time learning soccer drills alongside the dedicated officers from San Diego County Probation Department. Students had the chance to score on officers, take on exciting 2 vs. 1 challenges, and practice passing and finishing goals with the officers cheering them on every step of the way! 🥅👏 To top off an awesome day, every student received a STAR/PAL wristband and a fruit snack 🍎💫 A huge thank you to the probation officers for creating such a positive, fun, and memorable end-of-year experience for these students. Youth Take VR Auto Skills into a Working County Garage Four young men at the East Mesa Youth Detention Facility spent three months learning automotive repair using virtual reality. This week, they stepped into a real garage to use those skills alongside County mechanics and help maintain County vehicles.
