San Diego Community College District student Cormack Williams needed major surgery, so Scott and Assemblymember Brian Maienschein went to Cormack’s insurance company with a heartfelt letter… written by Cormack himself. Great to see Scott at the UCSD College Democrats meeting on Tuesday. Enjoyed hearing him speak about gun safety reform, making college more affordable, and navigating a highly polarized Washington.

Scott spoke on a panel this week at about solving the . He's introduced two bills with broad support that would allow employers to help pay off their employees' student loan debts, lower interest rates on federal student loans to 4%, and allow students to consolidate and refinance at the lowest rate. Not only will these reforms allow us to move forward with our lives, but they will also improve our economy.
