Greetings USNS Patuxent!

This past weekend, CHOSIN had the privilege to Replenish at Sea (RAS) with USNS Patuxent (T-AO-201), a Henry J. Kaiser-class replenishment oiler operated by the Military Sealift Command. The ability to RAS is critical for our forces to sustain operations at sea.

War Dragons are making waves in the local
San Diego community!

This week sailors from the USS Chosin volunteered their time to work at the San Diego food drive as part of a COMREL (Community Relations) event. Our group of volunteers put together 900 boxes of food for senior citizens on fixed incomes. 900 boxes make 10,800 meals or 31,500lbs of food! BZ War Dragons!

Mr. Shayne Jarosz, a historian from the Chosin few, came aboard and taught lessons to the entire crew about the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir during the Korean War. The lessons educated the crew about the importance of the battle and carried on to the legacy of Marines who gave their lives during the conflict. Thank you to the Chosin Few for coming on board!
