Three cheers for a departing shipmate! We bid a farewell for several Sailors to include; ET2 Aslanyan, CS2 Fabricante, ET3 Brown, DC3 Mann, and LSSN Carter. They each contributed to the ships combat readiness, and we thank them for all they have done to ensure USS Fort Worth is the ship it is. Fair Winds and Following Seas, we know you will continue to do great things in the fleet!

Fair Winds and Following Seas to LT Jonathan Gill! He leaves the ship as our long standing Navigator and acting Operations Officer. Always willing to put in the hours, he made sure our ship's Operations department ran smoothly. We thank you for your time with us. Good luck at LCSRON being their command Navigator!

Congratulations are in order for FC2 Brink and Frank! Both are now qualified to wear their Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist devices, after a challenging multi-board process to prove their knowledge of the entire ship. Shout out to FC2 Brinks father, who as a prior Navy man himself personally took the time to place the pin. BZ to you both!

Three cheers for a departing shipmate! EN2 Plaza was a heavy hitter on board the ship's engineering department, and he was a fixture and driving force behind many of the ships biggest engineering evolutions. We bid you a fair Winds and Following Seas as you go off to be Recruiter! Thank you and good luck EN2!

Congratulations to LTJG Battles on her blistering fast 16 month qualification of Surface Warfare Officer! She absolutely demolished her board, and was even recognized by VADM McLane for her hard work and dedication. We, as a matter of tradition, placed her in the ship's Decontamination station to wash away her unqualified time and she emerged a clean Surface Warfare Officer ready to take on the fleet! We are so proud of you, BZ!

We are honored to host VADM McLane on board USS Fort Worth as part of his Waterfront Engagement program! He addressed our crew about all we have been doing to support the fleet. Additionally, he recognized some of our hardest working Sailors aboard, LS2 Rodriguez, IT2 St. Rose, and EM2 Lara! Thank you VADM McLane for visiting us.

Fair Wind and Following Seas to LS2 Gonzalez! After serving over two years aboard the USS Fort Worth he departs to the USS Comstock. He came to us a reservist to fill the gaps in an undermanned Supply Department and worked to become a fixture aboard the ship, becoming permanently active duty. He is a great Sailor with a bright future ahead of him. Good Luck in the fleet!
