🔔 It's go time! Use the instructions below to call into the San Diego City Council meeting and tell our elected leaders to adopt the PrOTECT ordinance.

The Center for Policing Equity's report confirms and expands on what we knew: SDPD has long-standing patterns of biased policing and over-policing Black people, Latinx people, Asian/Pacific Islander people and people with disabilities in our city.

What's overdue is action! The City Council must pass laws that drastically reduce the role, responsibilities and presence of police in San Diego.

Passing PrOTECT would ban pretext stops and consent searches by SDPD, which disproportionately impact and harm people of color, disabled people, youth, unhoused people and LGBTQ+ people in San Diego.
