In case someone asks you, “What is the best part of an SDVC monthly meeting?”

Well, it has a good beginning and a lot in the middle that people can use to develop mission level conversations and partnerships after the meeting.

The best part of a good monthly meeting is what happens in the days and months to follow.

It’s the relationships that are formed to collaborate, coordinate, and integrate in order to better demonstrate that we are grateful to those who serve in our military and their families, both during their service and after they leave the military!

The best part of the SDVC monthly meetings?

…to be continued!

It was an honor to represent SDVC at the VA Miramar National Cemetery today for the Memorial Amphitheater. Dedication & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

It was “Six Years from Vision to Completion” and now a reality for all to behold.

Exciting news for the San Diego!

We just got news yesterday that San Diego has advanced to the top three candidate cities in the world, and the only candidate city in the United States in the running to host the 2029 Invictus Games.

Watch the announcement film here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sk3QR6yvudo

The Foundation is excited to reveal that 3 bids have made it to the shortlist for hosting the Invictus Games 2029!

🇩🇰 Aalborg, Denmark
🇰🇷 Daejeon, Republic of Korea
🇺🇸 San Diego, USA

The quality, ambition and heart shown across all six bids for the Invictus Games 2029 has been truly inspiring. An unprecedented number of applications show a strong foundation for the future of the Invictus Games, and a collective belief in the power of the Invictus Movement.

We now look forward to the next phase of assessment and collaboration as we work together to determine the best home for the Invictus Games 2029...

Taking an opportunity to go forward by looking back.

On October 27th SDVC joined up with dozens of organizations at Assessor Jordan Marks’ Second Annual Veterans Appreciation Event to engage San Diego veterans and their families to get them connected with resources, services, and even tax advantages available in San Diego County.

This is one of many ways that we demonstrate to veterans and their families that we are “Building a grateful nation, one integrated community at a time!”
