USS GARY has invited the THACH FAMILY to join in their fun-for-the-whole-family Halloween Haunted Ship on Oct 25th! RSVP no later than Oct 14th by commenting on this post and letting us know how many adults and how many children will be attending! All are welcome for this Halloween spooktacular fun!

THACH Families: We have been sharing info from reliable sources on the Thach Ombudsman wall regarding the government shutdown and how it affects San Diego military families in terms of pay and family life (FFSC, WIC, Navy College, etc). Please check Thach Ombudsman's wall if you're looking for information. Thanks for all of the questions about the DECOM ceremony.

1. There will be no limit to the number of people that will be invited. Everyone that requests an invitation will receive one and is welcome to come.

2. There will likely be a tour of the ship immdeiately after the DECOM ceremony. On 01 Nov we will still be actively in the DECOM process so the entire ship might not be available for touring.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

On 1000 01 November 2013 at Pier One, Naval Station San Diego we will hold the Decommissioning Ceremony for USS THACH (FFG 43). All family and friends of current THACH sailors, former THACH sailors or other interested parties can request an invitation by sending an email to [email protected].

If you will be coming to the ceremony with a current THACH sailor there is no need for an invitation just let your sailor know that you will attending.

Please help us get the word out. We do not have a lot of contact information for former COs, XOs, Command Master Chiefs, crew members, etc... So if you do please reach out to them and let then know when the ceremony is going to be.
