Give San Diego, in partnership with MCS San Diego, ICSD East County, and MYSD, are organizing their annual Ramadan food distribution. We will be assembling pre-packaged boxes filled with essential food items and special Ramadan Items to support families in need.

Ramadan Kareem 🌙 let’s keep all of those oppressed around the globe in our duas this blessed month.

The month of Rajab is considered one of the sacred months, and it holds special significance for Muslims around the world. It is the seventh month of the Islamic lunar calendar, and its arrival is a reminder for believers to engage in acts of worship, reflection, and seeking forgiveness.

There are now only two months to go until Ramadan! It is essential that we start preparing from now, laying the foundations of good habits and making a plan of action for this blessed month.

As Imam Abu Bakr al-Warraq al-Balkhi (rh), the uncle of Imam Tirmidhi (rh), said, ‘The month of Rajab is the month of planting (your seeds), Sha‘ban is the month of irrigating / watering (them), and Ramadan is the month of harvesting the crop’.

He (rh) also said, ‘The month of Rajab is like wind, Sha‘ban is like clouds and Ramadan is like rain’.

Sharing feedback from one of our brothers who moved recently to San Diego. The Zakaat and Sadaqa funds we receive enable us to make a difference in the lives of community members who have fallen on hard times and need a supporting hand in order to be independent again. Thank you to our donors for investing in our community!

Nothing feels better than the act of giving, which serves as a reminder that all we have in this world is immaterial and was never ours to begin with. Be like the Prophet (ﷺ) and never forget the importance of charitable giving in Islam; not only will your acts of kindness benefit you, but they will also benefit those around you.
