Hey Young Dems! 💃 We’ve been getting a LOT of questions about our dress code, so here’s a little inspo and vision board for the 4th Annual Demmys Awards this Friday, March 6th!
Take “disco elegance” as an excuse to wear your brightest and flashiest pieces—glitter and sequins are welcome! Our event is formal, so break out those long flowing dresses and snazzy suits. We’ll be wearing comfortable walking shoes and campaign t-shirts for the rest of the year, so take this chance to dress up and go all out!
At the end of the day, we are all just looking forward to celebrating our special awardees and hearing from our amazing keynote speaker. Come in whatever makes you feel the most comfortable, especially if it’s well-suited for dancing and a wonderful night out!
There is still time to grab your ticket to join us this Friday! Visit the link in our bio for more information.

🗓️ Mark your calendars: the San Diego County Young Democrats’ 4th Annual Demmy Awards are right around the corner!
This year, we are humbled and excited to feature a very special guest speaker: Pennsylvania State Representative, Vice Chair of the Democratic National Committee, and fellow Young Democrat 🩵
Finding joy in times of fear and darkness is one of the most powerful acts of resistance that we have. As we continue organizing, fighting back against authoritarianism, and building a more just future, we’re reminded that joy itself is a political act—and one they can never take from us. ✊
Join us as we celebrate the achievements of 2025 and honor the hard work, organizing, and advocacy of Young Democrats and our allies across San Diego County. Get your tickets (voting members in good standing attend free!) or sponsor our event by scanning the QR code or visiting the links in bio! 💃
