Captain Williams welcomed two new officers to the San Diego Area.

Officer B.Perez, ID 24352- transferred from Oakland Area.

Officer I.Ambriz, ID 23452-transferred from Hayward Area.

We wish them success as they begin their assignments and continue providing the highest level of safety, service and security to the public.

Slow down, take time to get your destination, and check your vehicle’s equipment. Most crashes during rain are due to unsafe speeds.

As of 6:00 am the the left three lanes of Interstate 5 southbound, north of Laurel Street is closed due to a crash. Right two lanes are open. Please use an alternate route.

During Memorial Day weekend, San Diego Area graveyard officers conducted an enforcement stop which resulted in the arrest of a suspected impaired driver and the removal of illicit drugs from our roadways and communities. This is another demonstration of our commitment to contribute to a safer California. Great job!
