Is your professor requiring you to attend classes at a certain time in order to receive credit? Do you have a class with mandatory attendance? That’s not allowed!

Our Educational Continuity Workgroup has ruled the following: "Synchronous attendance may not be required in remote courses. Synchronous attendance can be strongly encouraged, but an asynchronous option must be available to all students. Note, instructors cannot require synchronous attendance for some students and not for others, it is up to the student to decide. Instructors can offer synchronous activities for credit (labs, discussions), but there has to be an asynchronous option available for the same credit."
