North Park Main Street partnered up with and to do a one day quick-built on the intersection of Ray Street and North Park Way to show how safe street designs could look liked. With the community’s help we’re were able to go get 250 signatures! Let’s create safer walkable neighborhoods! Sign the petition using the link in our bio.

Join AARP California for a Safer Streets Demonstration with the community at the North Park Farmer’s Market on Thursday, April 23rd from 3-7pm. Experience quick-build street design improvements that slow traffic and improve pedestrian safety. Take part in painting, chalk art, and hands-on activities while sharing your feedback on community safety and walkability. Connect with local organizations and learn about ongoing advocacy efforts. Presented in partnership with City of San Diego Councilmember Stephen Whitburn, America Walks, Circulate San Diego, Families for Safe Streets San Diego, North Park Planning Committee, and more. Volunteers Needed for the Quickbuilt Thursday, April 23rd

Volunteer Shifts: 
12:30 PM – 3:00 PM (Setup) – Install planters, paint temporary crosswalks, and set up tables/benches (must be able to lift 25 lbs)  
7:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Breakdown) – Help remove and store materials
