USS Lake Champlain Decommissions After 35 Years of Distinguished Service Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57), the 11th ship of its class, was recognized for more than 35 years of naval service during a decommissioning ceremony at Naval Base

Good Morning All! We are excited for you all to be joining us for the Decommissioning of USS Lake Champlain on Friday, September 1st at 1000 on Naval Base San Diego, Pier Two.

If you are having issues finding the pier, put "Naval Base San Diego Theater" into your GPS and parking will be right down the road.

We have sent out emails to those without base access to ensure you are able to get on base. If you did not receive an email and do not have base access, please email [email protected] to request the form.

For Block 24, list USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN as the base sponsor and 619-556-4485 as the phone number.

For those having issues with the form, try downloading the form to your home drive or using a different browser to view and fill out the form.

If you have base access back home and are concerned about base access in San Diego, there is no need to be worried. Your access card will work here as it does elsewhere.

Thank you to everyone who RSVP’d for the ceremony, we are looking forward to have everyone join us on September 1st for one last time with USS Lake Champlain.
I’ve received some common questions that I wanted to share with everyone.

- If you’ve RSVP’d with the link previously posted prior to the cut off date, you are on the list to attend the ceremony.
- If you do not have base access, a form will be sent to your email that you and your guests will be required to fill out and send back to the ceremony team for base access for the day.
- The ship will not be able to be boarded for tours or photos due to spaces being closed out and turned over to the INACT Ships team.
- There is no USS Lake Champlain merchandise available for purchase.
