New legislation, signed into the state budget Monday, will cover the entire cost of attending a UC, Cal State or California community college. Currently, there is about 60,000 youth in foster care in California, with more than three thousand of them in San Diego County.

Give San Diego will be assembling and distributing pre-packaged boxes of food/special Ramadan items that will be distributed to families in need on Saturday, March 18th at ICSD East County.

This summer, Feeding San Diego has partnered with San Diego County Library to host no-cost food distributions at library branches around the county. These distributions will run through August at most locations.

Help deliver a toy to a child in need this Eid!

The Refugees Eid-al-Fitr Toy Drive - hosted collaboratively by Give San Diego, Kind Hearts SD, Muslim Community Services of San Diego, and San Diego Afghan Refugees Aid Group - will be distributing Eid toys to newly arrived refugee children on Saturday, April 30th from 11am - 1pm.

We are looking for volunteer drivers to assist in the direct delivery of these toys. Volunteers will be picking up pre-packaged toys from a central location, and then assigned a list of home addresses, primarily in East County, for delivery and drop off.

This Ramadan, Give San Diego is collaborating with Kind Hearts, Muslim Community Services of San Diego, and San Diego Afghan Refugees Aid Group to support the hundreds of refugee children that have recently joined our community. Partner with us to brighten a child's first Eid in the United States by providing a toy for Eid.
