You don’t have to have your entire future figured out at 17 or 18. 👏🏼

One of the biggest misconceptions I hear is that joining the Army means putting college or a civilian career on hold.

That’s not your only option.

With the Army Reserve, you can serve part-time while going to college, building a civilian career, learning a skill, and earning benefits along the way. 🇺🇸🎓💼

There are a LOT more options available than most people realize—and my job is to help you understand them, not pressure you into one.

🇺🇸 September 13th is Uncle Sam Day! 🇺🇸

Today recognizes one of America’s most iconic symbols. The name “Uncle Sam” became associated with the U.S. government in the early 1800s, and the famous pointing “I Want YOU” image later became one of the most recognizable military recruiting posters in American history.

More than 100 years later… Uncle Sam is still recruiting. 👀😂

He wants YOU! 🫵🇺🇸

From signing her contract ➡️ to BCT ➡️ and now AIT. 🇺🇸

PV2 Leonard enlisted with me back in February as a 35S – Signals Collector/Analyst. This photo was taken during her BCT range qualification this summer. 🎯

After completing 10 weeks of Basic Combat Training, she graduated and moved on to 15 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, where she’s learning the skills for her career in Army Intelligence. 🧠📡

She’s on track to be fully trained and MOS-qualified by Thanksgiving!

One of the best parts of recruiting is watching someone go from talking about their goals to actually accomplishing them. 💪🏼

Keep crushing it, PV2 Leonard! 🇺🇸

🎮 Think you’ve got game? Prove it.

The U.S. Army Esports Team isn’t just something to watch — current Soldiers can try out for the team! 👀🎮

Whether you’re Active Duty or Army Reserve, your skills behind the controller could give you an opportunity to compete, represent the Army, and be part of a team that takes gaming seriously.

And for those who haven’t joined yet… this is just one of the many opportunities you probably didn’t know existed in the Army. 👀

Already serving and think you’ve got what it takes? Check out Army Esports tryouts.

I was 8 years old on September 11, 2001.

My dad was a Marine, and our family was stationed at Camp Pendleton. With so much uncertainty that morning, my elementary school went into lockdown.

One of my clearest memories is sitting under my desk while the news played on the classroom TV. I was too young to understand the magnitude of what was happening, but I knew something had changed.

25 years later, I think about that little girl and how life eventually led me to wear a uniform of my own.

Today, I honor the 2,977 lives lost, the first responders who ran toward danger, the families forever impacted, and those who answered the call to serve in the years that followed.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak with Canyon Hills High School JROTC about the U.S. Army Reserve! 🇺🇸

We talked about what serving part-time really looks like—from Battle Assembly and Annual Training to career opportunities, education benefits, and serving while still pursuing school and civilian goals. 🎓💼

I love getting the chance to educate students on ALL of their options after high school. The Army Reserve might just be the opportunity they didn’t know was available to them. 👀
