2026 California School Dashboard results are out and Poway Unified ranks highly across the board!

PUSD was the only unified school district in San Diego County to rank in the top two rating metrics (blue and green) through all categories in this year's results!

Ratings examine eight areas of focus: state test scores in English language arts, math and science; suspension and chronic absenteeism rates; high school graduation rate; English learner progress; and the percentage of college- or career-ready high school graduates.

These achievements are a testament to the perseverance and success of our students as they prepare for promising futures, and the passionate educators and staff who inspire, support, and empower our world-class learners each and every day.

In the county’s largest school district, San Diego Unified, the results were mixed.

"Seeing students who were initially unsure leave smiling and excited about what they learned reminds me why I started Growing Strong Minds in the first place."

Del Norte High senior Rhea Jain wanted her Girl Scout Gold Award project to focus on supporting elementary students.

What developed from there was Growing Strong Minds, a series of workshops that has taught more than 125 students how to manage big emotions, develop personal strengths, address stress, and become confident communicators.

As part of her Gold Award project—the highest honor a high school Girl Scout can earn—Jain created a series of workshops called Growing Strong Minds.
