The County is committed to environmental sustainability and supports the reduction of plastic pollution. On June 9, the CA Environmental Protection Agency is hosting a Border Region Roundtable where you can hear from state environmental leaders and explore opportunities to reduce single-use plastics and plastic pollution using a special state fund.

West Nile virus was recently found in two dead crows near Rolando and Skyline. This is a reminder for people to take the following steps to protect themselves:
-Prevent mosquito breeding
-Protect yourself from mosquito bites
-Report mosquito activity and dead birds

West Nile Virus Detected in Two Birds County workers found West Nile virus in two dead crows picked up near Rolando and Skyline. This is a good reminder that people should take steps to protect themselves from mosquito bites, because mosquitoes can spread the virus.
