The County of San Diego Parks and Recreation Department welcomes you to the new Waterfront Park located in downtown San Diego. The diverse space can accommodate public and private special events of various sizes, festivals, farmers markets, and active and passive family recreation. Pack up the car, grab a picnic lunch, and head down for a day on the bay.

Kick off your summer with Moana 2 this Saturday, May 24 at 6 p.m. at Waterfront Park! 🌊🌺 Enjoy free, family-friendly entertainment under the stars, complete with pre-show festivities before the movie begins just 15 minutes after sunset. Bring your blankets, beach chairs, and favorite snacks — it's the perfect way to kick off the summer season!

We hope to see you at the grand opening of the new active recreation area at Waterfront Park, where we've built a basketball court, two pickleball courts, table tennis, a fitness station, an off-leash dog park, and more!
The event takes place Monday, July 22 at 11:30 a.m. and after the formal presentation we're running basketball activities and a FREE pickleball workshop! Be sure to wear appropriate footwear.😉

Heads up: Next Monday, in recognition of Cesar Chavez Day, our community centers, teen centers and main office will be closed but our parks will remain open for your enjoyment.
To commemorate the Cesar Chavez Day holiday, all San Diego County offices, family resource centers, libraries and animal shelters will be closed to the public Monday, April 1.
