The surprising effect of dry January that’s not your liver and sleep quality 01/05/2026

🌱 Dry January 🌱
This month is about giving your body and mind a reset. Taking a break from alcohol can improve sleep, boost energy, support mental health, and help you reflect on habits that no longer serve you.

Whether it’s for a month or just a moment, choosing to pause is a powerful act of self-care. You don’t need a reason beyond wanting to feel better.

If you’re participating, we’re cheering you on. If you’re not, we still support making mindful choices that protect your health. 💚

The surprising effect of dry January that’s not your liver and sleep quality It’s around the four-week mark that many people notice the most dramatic difference – particularly in facial structure

IPS highlights National Impaired Driving Prevention Month

December is National Impaired Driving Prevention Month, and the Institute for Public Strategies is joining partners across California to promote safer roads and healthier communities.

NHTSA reminds us: “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”
If you feel different, you drive different—which means driving high is driving impaired.

IPS works every day to prevent substance-related harms and support community safety. This month, we encourage everyone to help keep our roads safe.
