At some point, many caregivers ask the same question:

“Do I need help at home?”

It’s not always an easy one to answer.
There can be uncertainty, hesitation, even mixed emotions.

But support doesn’t take away from your role.
It can help make caregiving more sustainable.

If you’re exploring this, caregiver.org offers guidance to help you take the next step.

No one really teaches you how to be a caregiver.

Most people are figuring it out in real time.

That’s why having the right information matters.

Even small insights can make decisions feel a little clearer and a little less overwhelming.

You don’t have to rely on guesswork.

If you're caring for someone you love, you may be grieving even if you haven't lost them yet.

It's called anticipatory grief. It often arrives quietly and gradually, making it hard to name.

This spring, we sat down with experts from the Family Caregiver Alliance for a three-day conversation in our community about this experience. Caregivers shared what it's like to feel perpetually on call or guilty for needing a break. They struggle to explain to friends why they can't "get out more."

They also shared how small and predictable things help make it possible to keep going.

If any of this sounds familiar: Read more and let us know what you think! https://research.smartpatients.com/resources/the-grief-that-comes-before-the-lossnbsp

You don’t need to be “creative” to benefit from this.

You just need an outlet.

This workshop is designed to help caregivers reduce stress, process emotions, and take a real mental break through simple writing and creative exercises—guided every step of the way.

If you’ve been carrying a lot lately, this is a good place to put some of it down.
