We as a Board now reverse our previous statement about Twitter, and now come out in support for Facebook as a less restrictive platform to put out our press releases.

At 5:00p tonight, we were informed by staffers that we have been locked out of our Twitter account for no reason explained. This violation of free speech is against what we as San Franciscans value as free expression, and we are not pleased.

Might have to change some Zoning laws about their Headquarters if they keep this up….

In an interview, Mayor London Breed condemned the proposal as a move by Democratic Socialists, of which Supervisor Dean Preston is one, to exert more “control and power,” and lamented that the charter amendment was not subject to public input before Preston introduced it. This radicalism of even year elections will depress the vote and not inspire confidence for residents to maintain representative and responsive democracy. We stand with our Mayor in condemning this extremist act of voting reform!
