While not working the various aspects of our Airshows, David Schultz, our Company Owner and President has also been Chairman of the Clearfield Lawrence Township Joint Airport Authority for the past half decade. This Tuesday, 10/20/2026, will mark his last day as Chairman as he’s moved out of the jurisdiction to serve on the Authority.

Today we held an airport training day with the numerous fire departments and rescue personnel so that they could learn about the aircraft that are common here at the Clearfield Airport. We’ve mirrored the awareness training on some of the procedures for Airshow Incident Action and Emergency Response Plans that we work each event during the airshow season.

This tie-in with our Airshow Expertise is a great way to educate the Emergency Response personnel as to the uniqueness of aviation.

As a thank you for their everyday service to the community as well as taking part in this training, the Authority provided a big selection of food for all that participated. Of course, David did all of the cooking.

On this date 79 years ago, United States Air Force Captain Charles "Chuck" Yeager made history by becoming the first person to break the sound barrier in level flight. Yeager did this while flying the Bell X-1, which was the first of a series of X-Planes, which were designed for testing new technologies. Interestingly, Yeager's historic flight came two days after falling and breaking two ribs while horseback riding with his wife.

Today, the X-1 is preserved at the Smithsonian's National Air & Space Museum in Washington, D.C. There is no doubt that the research obtained during the X-1 program contributed to and influenced aerospace design and science in the decades that followed.

THAT’S A WRAP ON THE 2026 EL RENO COMMUNITY DAY & AIRSHOW!

What a beautiful day at El Reno Regional Airport and Industrial Airpark! The 2026 El Reno Community Day & Airshow was a tremendous success, with a great turnout, spectacular weather, and an incredible day of aviation and community spirit.

A special thank-you to all the performers, sponsors, organizers, volunteers, and everyone working behind the scenes who helped make this event possible. It truly takes a dedicated team to bring an airshow to life, and we’re grateful to everyone who played a part.

Thank you to the El Reno community for having Schultz Airshows, and thank you to everyone who came out to support this wonderful event! It was a pleasure being part of such a fantastic day. We look forward to seeing you again!

On Saturday, Schultz Airshows was honored to coordinate the opening ceremony flyover for the 29th Annual Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia.

Unfortunately, due to low cloud ceilings and precipitation, we were unable to safely conduct the flyover or parachute jump as planned for the opening ceremonies.

While we always look forward to bringing these special moments to the event, safety remains our highest priority. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and look forward to being back in the skies for future events.

On this date twenty years ago, the last Grumman F-14 Tomcat for the U.S. Navy took to the skies. Instead of flying west to join its fellow brothers and sisters in the Boneyard at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, this particular F-14 flew north towards its birthplace in Long Island. BuNo 164603 flew from Naval Air Station Oceana to Republic Airport near Farmingdale for its final flight. The aircraft was displayed in Bethpage for several years until it reached its final home, the Cradle of Aviation Museum in nearby Garden City.

Today, former U.S. Navy operated F-14s can be found at dozens of museums and locations across the United States. To give you a sense of the number of Tomcats that have been preserved, every one of our Staff at Schultz Airshows resides within a reasonable drive of an F-14 that's been preserved in an aviation museum or an outdoor park.

Autumn has arrived and as the leaves start changing, Schultz Airshows continues to travel the country.

David is traveling to Braselton, Georgia on 3 October to coordinate the Opening Ceremonies for the Motul Petit Le Mans Race at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. We've got the All Veteran Group Parachute Team starting things off and the Full Throttle Formation Team performing the flyover!

On 10 October, we will travel to the El Reno, Oklahoma for their Community Day Airshow. We'll be providing our Professional Airboss, Announcing, and Ground Operations services to the El Reno Regional Airport and Industrial Airpark .

On 24 October, we'll be providing our Professional Airboss services to the The Pixel Man Airshow , which will be held at the Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport in Gainesville, Georgia. This is the first airshow in Gainesville and the airport and staff are paying tribute to our Veterans. The flying display will be headlined by the Full Throttle Formation Team .

Finally, on 25 October, David will be traveling to Austin, Texas to coordinate the Opening Ceremony for the F1 United States Grand Prix.

This past weekend, our team at Schultz Airshows bid a fond farewell to a great friend of our Team, Scott Francis. Scott has announced that he is retiring from airshows following the conclusion of the 2026 airshow season.

All of us at Schultz Airshows have watched Scott quickly rise to become an airshow superstar. His airshow aircraft, the MXS, has been a staple at airshows where Scott would fly in an aerobatic routine where he would pull more than +9/-4 Gs several times during his performance. After every performance, Scott would sign autographs, take pictures, and talk about airplanes with eager spectators. There is no doubt that Scott has inspired many young men and women at airshows to take a discovery flight, learn to fly, and/or choose a career path in aviation. When he wasn't at an airshow location, Scott could be seen at The Flying Circus in Bealeton, Virginia or flying passengers for a major U.S. airline.

Since 2013, there was not a year where Scott and any of our Staff - from our Airbosses, Announcers, Ground Operations personnel, and even our Media & Marketing team - have crossed paths at an airshow. We have had the honor and privilege of working with Scott and his wife Teresa at many airshow locations across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. He flew his final airshow performance for Schultz Airshows at the Leesburg Airshow on 26 September 2026, and he has two more airshows remaining - one in Virginia and another in Kansas.

What a fantastic Saturday at Leesburg Executive Airport, Town of Leesburg!

The 2026 Leesburg Airshow was a tremendous success and a well-attended day filled with great aviation, enthusiastic spectators, and an incredible lineup of performers. The wind gave us a little challenge, but the team pushed through and delivered a fantastic show!

This year’s airshow was flown in loving memory of Chuck Tippett and Mark Meredith, Their passion, dedication, and lasting contributions to the airshow community will never be forgotten. Blue skies, Chuck and Mark.
