Why We’re Leaving Meta Platforms (Facebook and Instagram)

At The Gubbio Project, we are committed to creating safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces for everyone, especially the most vulnerable. Our work is rooted in dignity, respect, and care for all.

Unfortunately, we can no longer align ourselves with a platform that refuses to fact-check or take responsibility for allowing hate speech and discriminatory content to spread unchecked. Safety isn’t just about physical space—it’s also about the digital spaces where people connect, share, and seek support. When harmful misinformation and hate thrive, it puts real people at risk.

For this reason, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to step away from this platform. We will continue to share updates, stories, and ways to support our work in places that align with our values of truth, compassion, and safety for all.

We invite you to stay connected with us in other ways—through our website, email updates, and other social platforms where inclusivity and accountability matter.

A New Chapter at The Gubbio Project💙

Monday marked the start of our expanded service hours, and we couldn’t be more excited! Our new afternoon window means more opportunities to provide Sacred Sleep, support, and connection for our guests.

With our services now running from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM Monday through Friday, and 7:00am to 2:00pm on Saturdays, we’re creating a safe, welcoming space for even more people in our community.

By offering judgment-free access to services, connection to treatment and space to be throughout the day, more of our unhoused community members can be off the streets and in sanctuary.

Holiday Card Writing at Gubbio ✨✉️

Yesterday at Gubbio, we held a Holiday card-writing activity, giving our guests the opportunity to send heartfelt letters to their loved ones this season.

Thanks to the wonderful initiative and collaboration of our volunteers, Eline & Ina, who brought all the materials and ensured each card would reach its destination with care, our guests were able to connect and share their love this holiday season.

Small actions have a big impact. ❤️
