Swissnex in San Francisco and the Swiss Arts Council , under the label , jointly announce the three selected design studios for the third edition of the Swiss Design Accelerator in San Francisco.

Following a one-month online preparation program, the design studios will travel to San Francisco from November 7–13, 2022. The Swiss Design Accelerator will introduce the selected Swiss-based designers to the US market with a focus on the Bay Area and its design industry.

The goal of the program is to build meaningful connections with relevant industry players and create business opportunities while acquiring skills to better operate in this specific ecosystem.

The Swiss Design Accelerator presents an eclectic selection of studios who bring innovative processes to design meaningful products:

develops an intelligent coffee roasting machine

oleon works on sustainable and circular projects related to plant-based wellbeing and skincare

creates leather statement pieces

In collaboration with (École cantonale d’art de Lausanne), we are launching the Media & Interaction Design Residency Award, offering a graduating student from ECAL the opportunity for a residency in San Francisco.

The residency allows the student to take their (diploma) project in the fields of interaction design and digital innovation to the next level with a four week stay in San Francisco.

The students awarded with this residency have proven that their project has a strong entrepreneurial and innovative potential. Swissnex in San Francisco will equip the students with the relevant mindset, skill sets, and networks during their residency to allow them to develop their project.

The project by alumna is the first project chosen for the Media & Interaction Design Residency Award and she is currently in San Francisco to work on her project around identity and how it is expressed digitally.

We are looking for a Creative Industry Program Manager to manage and scale our bootcamps, fair presence, and to be our in-house expert on all things related to the creative industry.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, design and innovation, forward-thinking, impact-oriented, entrepreneurial and a solid networker, having experience working for/with the creative industry and the Swiss and SF Bay Area ecosystem.

The Program Manager will be responsible for the successful implementation of programs such as Swiss Games at GDC and the Swiss Design Accelerator and support in designing and building new programs related to the creative and gaming industries.

As a key member of the program team, the Program Manager will also have the opportunity to actively shape and contribute to other Swissnex programs.

Huge congrats to Tabea Iseli from Stardust! She pitched her game Grimoire Groves at GDC Pitch today and won Best Pitch.

Three of the 8 game studios selected to pitch at this year’s GDC are coming from Switzerland and are part of our official delegation to .

also pitched today with their game Pocket Oasis, and tomorrow our fingers are crossed for Diditopia Games with Plank Builders.
