Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday at the Asian American Community Congressional Candidates Forum in Chinatown.
We appreciated hearing directly from Scott Wiener, Connie Chan, Saikat Chakrabarti, and Marie Hurabiell on issues impacting our community including immigration, education, economic opportunity, and public safety.
Thank you to our co-hosts Ed Lee Democratic Club and the Rose Pak Asian American Club and to the many community members who showed up to engage in the democratic process.

Congratulations to Sunset United Neighbors (SUN) for successfully bringing the District 4 community together at tonight’s D4 Supervisor Candidates Forum.
It was a meaningful and engaging evening that truly reflected the democratic process in action. SUN identified through member polling, participated in a focused and substantive discussion on the issues that matter most to D4 residents.
Thank you to everyone who showed up, submitted thoughtful questions, and took part in civic engagement.
CADC wishes all D4 candidates the very best in their campaigns and in their continued efforts to serve the District 4 community.

Justice for Vicha!!!
Grandpa Vicha’s daughter, Monthanus Ratanapakdee, is inviting the community to show up this Monday to stand with their family. Many of us are deeply disappointed by the involuntary manslaughter verdict and what it means for the safety and dignity of our elders.
🗓 Monday, 1/26/26
📍 Hall of Justice
850 Bryant Street, San Francisco, CA 94103
9:00am — Gathering on the steps of the Hall of Justice
9:30am — Court appearance, Department 23 (3rd floor)
Showing up matters. Our presence is a way to support the family and affirm that our elders’ lives matter.

We had a productive annual retreat at CADC, where we focused on solidifying the systems we’ve built and refining our processes as an organization. CADC values a diversity of perspectives and works toward thoughtful, win-win solutions that strengthen our members and elevate our broader community. Grateful for the time, dialogue, and shared commitment moving forward.

🎄✨ Joint Holiday Party Recap ✨🎄
Last night was a wonderful reminder of the power of community and unity. We were so grateful to come together with members, elected officials, candidates, and community leaders from across San Francisco for a joyful Joint Holiday Party hosted by:
• Chinese American Democratic Club (CADC)
• Edwin M. Lee Asian Pacific Democratic Club (Ed Lee Dems)
• Rose Pak Asian American Club
Despite our different perspectives and districts, the spirit of the evening was about respect, connection, and celebrating the season together. From short-and-sweet remarks to holiday karaoke and plenty of laughter, it was a night that honored civic engagement and joy.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the evening welcoming and fun, from the volunteers and organizers to every guest who showed up with an open heart. Here’s to continued collaboration, community building, and celebrating what brings us together. 💛

CADC attended the mobilization for Yes on Prop. 16 over the weekend to help Asian Americans in gaining equal opportunities for public employment and public contracting. CADC understands there are some concerns over public education on Prop. 16. CADC has been engaging with the UC Admission System as well as elected officials to ensure equitable seats for Asian students. We must fight for our equity in education because public education is the key for economic opportunities for our next generation.
