Unemployment rate dropped below 3% in eight out of nine Bay Area counties.
California unemployment rate at record low 4.1%; Bay Area’s even lower California's unemployment rate dropped to 4.1 percent in September, a record low since it starting tracking the number this way in 1976, according to the Employment Development Department.
