Meet Jorge and Carolina! As part of we are thrilled to have these two supporting our volunteer and field trip programs all year long. is a new statewide initiative to pair college students with non-profits working on climate action and other important issues. βSeeing how committed everyone is to the garden and helping the environment is very inspiring,β says Carolina. We cannot wait to teach, and learn from, them.

Our 2022 Get Up! class had its second dual field trip day! We helped out at the Calibird Pollinator Garden with Isaiah and also with Markos at the 36th Avenue and Noriega site! Thank you both for hosting and teaching us so much! ππ³πππ

Folks are braving the drizzly weather here at the garden today! Get Up! is learning about the magic of plant propagation from Angel Garcia of .and.vine and we have lots of students attending our free monthly Urban Composting workshop!!

Gardens take time! Planted in 2005, this Braeburn apple tree has given us an incredible crop this year.
