June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate LGBTQ+ communities, honor history, and recognize the ongoing work to advance inclusion, visibility, and belonging for all.

Here in San Francisco, Pride carries a powerful legacy. This year marks the 56th anniversary of San Francisco Pride, one of the most iconic Pride celebrations in the world.

Learn more about this year's events at sfpride.org.

At The Arc SF, we believe everyone deserves to be seen, valued, and celebrated. During Pride Month, we honor the LGBTQ+ members of our community and reaffirm our commitment to creating a world where all people are welcomed, respected, and belong.

Shoutout to our incredible staff, Nina!

Nina works one-on-one with our participants every day at The Arc SF.

In addition to her daytime work, Nina also hosts our Wednesday online movie nights, creating a welcoming and inclusive space for participants who experience barriers to attending in person. On Tuesday, The Arc San Francisco traveled to Sacramento to join advocates from across California at Disco at the Capitol, where we met directly with legislators and constituents to advocate for the protection of disability rights.

The day was a powerful reminder that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve to be heard, included, and protected in every conversation about policy, funding, and our future.

We are proud to stand alongside self-advocates, families, providers, and community partners continuing to push for a more accessible, inclusive, and equitable California for all.

What is Prop A, and what does it mean for Rachelle Sullivan Park?

On June 2, 2026, San Francisco voters will decide on Proposition A, a bond to fund upgrades that help the City respond to earthquakes and emergencies.

Rachelle Sullivan Park, located at 11th & Natoma, is a planned neighborhood park in SoMa designed to bring much-needed green space to a dense area, with features like seating, play space, and room for community gathering.

It’s included in Prop A because parks can support community safety and resilience, helping serve neighbors both day-to-day and in emergencies.
In short:
Prop A = a safer, more prepared SF
Rachelle Park = a new community space that could benefit

At The Arc SF, we believe in safe, inclusive spaces for all, every day and in times of need.

For more information on this measure, visit https://conta.cc/3R3Xdt1 and remember to get out and vote!
